Notes & Comments

Great South Run. Miserable day with rain and gusting south westerly winds. Started nearer the front and got a good start at target pace. Felt pretty good till about 7 miles, then left knee started to twinge slightly and could feel blister forming on left little toe. The final 1.5 miles were hampered by an evil headwind, hence the drop in pace, but managed to cling on for a PB. Left knee now quite sore with what appears to be ITB syndrome, similar to after the London Marathon. Hopefully will subside quickly so that training is not interrupted. No HR data as the chest strap fell off after quarter of a mile and i had to carry it all the way round!
