St.Neots Half marathon, for some reason really nervous about this race as was pacing HeyJude round. Weather conditions perfect (so that excuse was gone) and we started about 1.47 ish in the pack and gradually picked off people in front, had to tell Jude to slow down a ffew times which I think she liked ! Set into a steady pace fairly soon and although fairly quick was comfortable. Support along the way was great from fellow WJ's and the pom poms and whistles were out in force. Had a few 'hard' miles around 8,9,10 but was good to know from 9.5 it was either flat or downhill. Jude wasn't aloud to look at her Garmin and this worked well until at about 12 miles some 'helpful' chat said keep going you on for a 1.40 time ! Last mile pace picked up and Jude did really well sprinting the last part with me shouting at her to keep going, PM nearly paid a visit but didn't. Cheered the others in and lots got PB's and T-shirts are fab. Really enjoyed this race but next time I offer to pace someone round I will make sure they are at least 10min slower than I am ! A bit disappointed that Jude didn't break 1.40 but she seemed happy. Overall a good day and will defo enter this again.

Well done Swerver, excellent consistant pacing, sounds a bit harder for you than GF!! That was the plan though without you going flat out - now target NVH 10 and Bedford
Yes next pacing will be a 2 hr half me thinks !
A Great big Thank You for your brilliant pacing- would have got nowhere near this time without your encouragement-sorry I was a bit quiet on the hills! Now you have to stop being so unselfish and go for a great PB at the NVH 10
Jude - he will!! Swerver - does BM know you have a 2hr half planned for her!!!!
Nice one Mick! Great job - it wasn't the easiest of courses to be a pacer for, especially when you pick someone as fast as Jude!
Well done.
