Amsterdam marathon. I'd been hoping for sub 4.30 but was poorly on the day. My IBS kicked in big style! I had several loo trips before the race (one actually after the gun had goine, and before I left the stdium!) and then another 5 on the way round. Think this meant that any nutrients and water weren't getting through as my legs started to cramp up before the 10 mile mark and I had to stop and stretch. I was also on my way down with a cold (that's now coming out nicely) and I had chest pains at the 10k mark too. Not good. So despite the crap time I'm well chuffed to have done it and got to the end. The finish in the stadium is just fantastic, and I'd definitely do it again.
