Notes & Comments

The Grizzly in Seaton, Devon. Slight (very expensive) calamity at the start when I LOST my Garmin 305 watch!!! still not found it, Jon drove off with the kids while I'd put it on the car bonnet put didn't realise this until 20 mins later:0( Anyway, losing my time, pace and heartrate did worry me to begin with but decided not to ruin my race. What can I say lots of very steep hills, very steep downhill descents (now have sore toes!) oodles of gloopy mud in the 'bogs' and energy sapping shingle on the beach 3 times. Managed to fall over in the mud but didn't lose my shoes to the mud like some. There was loads of support along the way, a great atmosphere and jelly abies being handed out right, left and center. The wash down with the firemans' hose was very welcome at the finish too ;0) Now at home (yet to take off my new t-shirt) with a smile on my face.
