MARSTON FOREST 5KMS RACE - 22.39 mins (stopwatch) - 22.50 mins (official) - 146th/379 finishers - Pretty pleased with this. I'd had an absolutely 'torrid' week physically and mentally and was on the verge of not even turning up for this one. But decided to give it a go. Glad that I did, as an average speed of 7.17 per mile wasn't that far from my best ever pace outdoors (of 7.13 per mile). I'll return in good shape next year and break 22 mins. (KM splits - 4.21 / 4.37 / 4.45 / 4.33 / 4.23)
