Notes & Comments

-Pre Race-
Not a great nights sleep and a bit of a soar throat... felt tired while in the car too... knew this was going to be hard work... had my pre-race Jaffa cakes and Lucozade caffeine...
-Race-
There were no 'Est Finish time' post so mulled in toward the front and set of quick... so quick I ended up in the top 20.... dropped back in the 4th mile up to 6th then put my foot down up to 10th.... really wanted to push more at the end but the heat was terrible... the coarse great and easily a PB coarse.... but I just couldn't find to energy at the end to push as my lack of long runs caught up with me....
- Post Race-
I'm not disappointed with the result, but I'm not overjoyed... but when considering the lack of training (compared to Norwich) the weather, the lack of sleep... it wasn't too bad an effort... My legs feel fine... I can ride a bike and it took me a good week to do that after Norwich.... so lots of positives to take... especially that I was 6mins faster than GY.
