Windermere marathon, part 2 of the District Double. Was a bit tired going into this and a bit nervous but started off with Ogee who gave me a bit of a kicking (walking the hills wasn't an option). Felt pretty good after a few miles, I could definitely feel yesterday in my legs but the energy levels were ok. Ran quite a lot with Trumpton Riots too, great company. Slogged up all the hills but was pretty zonked by mile 20 in Windermere. The mouthful of bitter I stole from two blokes outside the pub did the trick though and got me through it. Last 6 miles were very very painful but I found a bit of grit from somewhere to get through it, getting a bit tougher at last. Sheeting rain to finish, but very happy to have negative splitted my first double. Met loads and loads of Fetchies too, great day.
