Perfect day for a gentle long run with my buddies, Gav & Nick (Flo had bunked off to a Christening) but instead we entered the Dover Half!

Cold but not too windy, most of the hills were unpleasant, but not nasty. Gav flew from the start and finished in 1h 34m 29s, while Nick & I took our time on the first 8 miles (altho he did keep on whingeing "thats another" sub 7 min mile!). Tried to keep the pace up, but had my usual slow down for mile 9, then recovered for a new PB of 1h 36m 26s, while Nick finished really well in 1h 38m 30s. Well done all!

'have just seen the provisional results and you were first 60+ male over the line - it meant you would have been entitled to a prize! Better than a government winter payment I am sure, but we didn't stay to find out - I don't believe it! Truly fabulous run by you
