Blackpool Half Marathon. 538/1040. Hellishly hot. Was 20c at 9am and seemed to get hotter. Set off OK and kept to sub 9 min miles. Realised at around 8 miles that I couldn't keep it up. Arrived with minutes to spare so had to wee half way round! The bright white concrete, no breeze and heat of the lower walk of the prom took its toll and I had to slow it down (had to stop @ water stations to make sure I took in enough water). It was supposed to be a training run for the Freckleton half in two weeks so pretty pleased with the end time. Should break the 2hr barrier then...
