I have always had a tendency to run too fast. Running slow has always been a problem...... it's like my body only has one setting - too fast. My new strategy to run at the lowest HR possible seems to be working. I want to try and keep to 80% MRH or below. Today on the flat, or downhill, I managed to keep within 127 and 135. Hills are the problem, today's route has 3 strenuous climbs as well a couple of shallower ones. My HR goes between 138 and 151 (approx) on climbs. Quite pleased that I ended up with an average HR of 136 for the entire run. Yay! More pleasingly, look at my splits:
