Poss half a mile more cos didn't start Garmin. Went really well. Enjoyed first lap trial so much, went round a second time. Hou Prospector 15.5 ft. MrsS(rrr) couldn't come as she was tending a sick horse. He's ok now so she'll come Sunday. Wanted to see if I could get boat on and off roof by myself. Was fine. 32kg really light. Was 15 min drive to Lochore Meadows. Busy but a spot in car park by water. Got it off on to grass and only really had to carry it over road in yo stone beach. Wanted to try single and double paddle. Took a bottle water. Were joking trews, run shoes, tsjirt fleece and light jacket and buoyancy aid over. And off I went. Single paddle def better! At top end I saw best coming out of reeds. Turns out you can laugh at Harran Hill car park. Good to know. Centre thwart really good. At back, impossible to prevent bring pivoted around by wind. Enjoyed middle, even strong wind and hard paddling. Chatted to lots of lovely folk. Got offer to help with boat back on roof. Saw loads of herons and swans. Very busy but all good. Except fishing people, seemed to leave an awful mess. Going again Sunday. Then after that we need to try further afield! :-) G
