Easy barefoot shakeout before workout this afternoon/evening. Honestly super nice way to start the day, was in the 50s which was wild but also super nice, though it meant the grass in the shade froze my feet the first few times running through it. Parks & rec guys were mowing top field when I got there but then 13 minutes in came down to lower field so I moved up. Did a bunch of barefoot drills and a couple easy short strides that I really focused on feeling relaxed and smooth which was also super pleasant and I enjoyed, and I feel like getting a little faster motion & turnover on the shakeout makes a bit of sense too (and I think the coaches had people do strides after morning shakeouts for NESCACs, regionals, and nationals last year too).
