I am going to attempt day one later, not really ever done yoga...
How did it go? I can still feel the strain from sitting cross legged for so long. Don't have the world's most flexible hips
Commented at length on the thread. Arms the issue for me.
Yup, just spotted that Not going to be easy to do it all with that shoulder - I had to stop completely when I bust mine last year, even when it had the motion back it couldn't take the weight for a while.
That's true. I guess I just have to manage my frustration.
I dunno, I wasn't very patient with mine! I wonder if it might be worth looking for routines targeted at folk with frozen shoulders, though? I think that the moves in the first video are going to crop up quite a lot in later ones.
Good idea. I have had a look and most of the frozen shoulder yoga routines I saw take the view that it's 'all in the mind' and sufferers should just be supported to force their recalcitrant limbs into the position they don't want to go *grinds teeth*. I should have another look. Down dog is pretty integral to most practice...
That's really not helpful. Hm.
Tabletop, cat/cow, warrior i, warrior ii without forcing your bad arm any higher than it wants to go, tree with hands in front of chest instead of above head, whatever that pose is called where you stand on one leg with the other hugged to your chest... it's a start. Guessing child's pose is out, along with sun salutations.
All good suggestions and definitely doable. I can do plank too.
I can do the child's pose variation where the arms are backwards, palms up.
Well done xx
