Why is the Ely race at Little Downham and not Ely?

It is very near Ely and it is organised by Ely Runners. The course at Little Downham is almost traffic free, and is a pleasure to run.
Yes, I am stupidly happy given the comparatively slow time ;-) , I ran well :-)
