Unsurprisingly, running a PB two days earlier isn’t the best prep for racing a 10k hard. Arrived later than I like after spending ages stuffing recycling in the car to drop off at the recycling centre on the way home, but made it to the start line nicely warmed up by jogging from the car. First 4K on target, gradually dropped off after that but managed a quick finish. Interestingly,
strava has me doing best times on some of the segments along the way.
48:23 is a time I’d have bitten your arm off for a couple of years back when I kept trying and failing to break 49 minutes - this year it is a season’s worst. I’m quite pleased with that 😂😂😂
Right, off to run a mile and a half to get bread and make this my second longest month this year
