Run from home, initially very easy pace via footpath & railway, then hill sprints 6x120m.+ on lower path across common, then steady pace to edge of Tairgwaith, then return home at more brisk pace;hill reps pace 5:19 (last) to 6:30/km; felt quite good.

Hill sprints, that's impressive
Maybe it sounds impressive, but the hill wasn't particularly steep, and the jog recoveries were VERY slow! Thank you though for your encouraging comment.
I used to do hill sprints when I was training for something specific. 30 seconds up a not-too-steep hill, slow jog back down. 5 of those, then 2 mins rest, then another 5... 4x5 altogether.
