Berlin Marathon!

A fabulous run. Atmosphere at the start was amazing with lots of music and dancing.
Didn’t feel the love for the first five miles as was overdressed and quite warm. Then it started raining and cooled right down.

Aim was 10:15 m/m ish and knew I wasn’t up to any more. Some bottlenecks and the drink stations slowed me down so decided to just go with the flow. The drink stations were plastic cups and quite chaotic so allowed myself to walk through and avoid tripping. Got my positive head back on and began to enjoy it more. Support and all the bands were great.

Saw Andy and Hollie at 8k, 17k, 21k and 37k which was fab. The last stretch running under the Brandenburg Gate and towards the finish line was pretty awesome and very memorable, loved it 😊. Great to get supportive messages from Mizzle on my watch for the last stretch too 😊.

Pleased with 4.38 as a finish, which was within my predicted time and about where I should be, so a great result 😊
