Andover parkrun 237/267
Another slapfest outing for my sandals bookended by a jog from and to Ian and Wendy's.
Form wasn't the best but I managed a half-decent time, all things considered. When it was announced that next week is Andover parkrun's birthday, Jeremy said "if I want a PB for the year, it'll have to be today, then". I hadn't really been thinking about that, but kept pushing on and, amazingly, this was my best outing at Andover since May 2018, so my best here in the Andover year! Jeremy set his best time this year 3 weeks ago and was tantalisingly close but didn't quite make it.
Andy managed to sprint past me at the end and I didn't have it in the legs to have a proper go at defending my place. But never mind: it was good to see some familiar faces and to be running back in Andover on a lovely, sunny day.
