Bonkers 🤪. Someone on
stravaI know did the marathon. So I assume each lap is 4.2km? Chapeau for the effort though 👏Yep, the course is 10 laps for a marathon, 5 laps for a half. Cheers!
The marathon was largely dominated by old giffers with idiosyncratic running styles wearing 100-marathon-club shirts who had nothing better to do on a damp Thursday
Yeah, Thursday is a strange day for it. I checked their website and there were only 40 of you. Must have felt strange.
Nearly all their events are midweek, I guess the venues are cheaper to hire then
I think maybe a few more than that with the marathon and ultra combined. I really like these little events, the Cricklade half and the Otmoor Challenge are others. If you're not finished in good time, the timekeeper's gone home and you'll miss out on a cup of weak tea and a mars bar. They were all like this when I was a teenager
