Oscar's Everyone Day
Sunday 22nd June 2025
In 2021
Oscar the Grouch proposed one day each year where "we unite as a community and EVERYONE records an activity of some sort - a dog walk, a run, a swim, a ride, ski if you want...".
Sadly we lost Oscar in March 2024, so now we dedicate Everyone Day to him.
Thank you for the inspiration you gave us Oscar.

Notes & Comments
parked in the spot just past the cattle grid - 8.04 AM, later than intended, still first there.
sign at Ashness bridge said Walla Crag, 1.25 miles 1hr 20 mins - and I thought I waled slowly uphill! (maybe it meant there and back) took a bit of a detour towards
Castlerigg as was concentrating on trying to get Ralph to stop eating sheep poo rather than thumbing the map properly.
Views from Walla Crag rather fine. checked watch at second stile it said 9:04.
nice walk to Bleaberry - apart from the stone staircase up - decided to gamble on weather and bogs and continue to High Seat -was very wet in places, but not awful. Stopped for 2nd breakfast, elevensies and first lunch on the way round. I didn't get to eat much of anything!
time a guess, Garmin dead and didn't want to waste phone batt - but I had wandered around Keswick and had lunch by 2pm
on the last descent finally saw other people - had the fells to myself until then!
