Notes & Comments
Dad and I drove to the tarka trail (from parents house) and after eventually finding somewhere to park, I did an out and back away from Bideford while dad walked instead. The trail started slightly downhill but then soon started to climb gently uphill the whole way until the half way point. I planned to run 7 miles (on very little food) so used strava to measure the distance. I was surprised how fast I was running, considering my level of fitness and the effort it required. I was tired and found it hard work, but I wasn't flat out - sort of strong steady. I stopped after 1.5 miles to stretch and then again briefly at half way to recover slightly.
