Virgin Money London Marathon
Overcast, mild, breezy. Took it at a steady pace. Had 3 gels and sips of water. Had to stop at the portaloo after 1 miles as I had to get into my start pen when I was mid-way through the loo queue at the start. Nearly got tripped over around Cutty Sark and got clipped another couple of times by passing pace groups. Had a bit of a tough patch at around 9-10 miles but actually overall it went very well. Enjoyed it. Heels were ok. It was great to see people I knew in the crowd - it gave me a huge lift. I even had a 5 second negative split. And got well under the GFA qualifying time!!! Need to train better next time round.
