Longparish
Quite a gaggle of us for this Wednesday's run: Emily, Andy, Jeremy, Roger (here to return his L2SOTM Most Improved trophy) and I started off up the village and met Jacqui and Graeme.
The weather looked ominous but the rain held off, which allowed us to stop and admire the daffodils half way up the hill over to Tracy's Dell. At which point, I did a poor impression of belting off uphill and eventually caught Emily and Jacqui by the path back over the hill (hurrah!) to North Acre.
By Sugar Lane, Jacqui had taken herself off back home and Emily was unpersuadable in the matter of going back for the others, so back to Forton it was. Where I absent-mindedly stopped my watch before starting it again for the half mile or so back to the field where I met Andy, Jeremy and Roger (Graeme having peeled off to go directly home before the Daffodil Detour). That tiny trace is elsewhere here.
My new trainers had unexpectedly arrived earlier than announced but I reasoned that today would be mostly on roads, which it was, so I wore my road shoes.
Things seem to be moving a bit, which is nice. It's always good to get out first thing.
