Bit of a strange run this one.

I was up at the arse crack of dawn, but didn't get out until 7.30am because I was busy.

When I eventually got out, I felt pretty shit for the first 5m (flu type symptoms like I had at the Meander).

So, once I'd decided to limit myself to 7m (and made the turn back via Putney Bridge), I then got passed by some old geezer who was flowing along at about 7m mile pace and I suddenly had the inspiration to chase the old bugger.

I then found myself putting an effort in (I never caught him), and holding it until the end. I was feeling rough though.

I do wonder what is wrong with me:

1) Flu/a heavy cold?
2) Over training syndrome?
3) Lack of hard training (because I'm always recovering or getting ready for the next race) resulting in me struggling to sustain an effort that was easy a few weeks ago

I doubt it's 3).
