Longparish School Triathlon Club
What a great afternoon for a run! Clear and crisp without being scarily cold.
The trace includes the jog with Jeremy to and from the school; the hanging around at the school at the beginning and end of the actual run were omitted.
We all (Pip, Sonia, Jeremy, me and 16 children) crossed to the football field whence we ran along the spinal path to the shop. The group were split into two at that point: a small group of four quicker ones were led off round Tracy's Dell by Sonia with me bringing up the tail. Pip and Jeremy took the rest over path 32 behind North Acre and we all met up on the track parallel to the road.
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers (plus Sonia) were privileged to be allowed to run up and down the hill at the end of Sugar Lane while the steady group made stately progress to join up with us. The sometimes trainer-swallowingly muddy track leading to Sugar Lane was relatively benign. Guess who volunteered to be the (arguably) responsible adult to go down with the ones who weren't sensible enough to go along the field side.
And then we pottered back to school. We hardly lost any of them this week. I was speculating with Pip about how big the error bars should be when you're counting the kids but decided that taking into account quantum fluctuations was probably a step too far.
