Richmond Park Marathon: 4hr 08:58 Pos 123/278

This was a good laugh. This is my local marathon and I shouldn't have really been running it, but I've always fancied it and promised myself that I'd target 4hr 15 as an easy training run.

As it happened, I failed to run slow enough, but found this pretty easy on what is a tough course. My heart went out for the usual sub-4 crew who were all struggling today.

There were quite a few of us who were using this as a training run and ran well within ourselves.

I even through a toilet stop for a pee in the 8th mile, which involved running off course and into the bogs. I left the watch running though. All very laid back today, which was most cathartic.

I will still knackered at the end though, but was in control of this from start to finish today.

Would do this again next year if I'm looking for a full distance training run in May again.
