St Neots Half Marathon
533 / 1321 Top 40%.
Good training run at St Neot's Half. Wasn't sure what shape I was in, maybe 1:40. As it turns out it was more 1:45, the wind accounted for the rest.
45mph winds per the weather forecast, they were strong, but not convinced they were quite at that level.
The course was good, very Great Bentley HM, out in the sticks, but with a few more runners. Definitely undulating, but without a real time goal I could just work to effort.
Was odd with the wind and undulations, meant the pace was bouncing all over the place. Happy I ran it pretty evenly and managed to push on for a good sprint finish for Lauren and the rest of the support team.
Had a lovely catch up with Ade and the family over a roast and a couple of beers. Very nice end to a successful weekend.
