St Neots Half Marathon! PB!! by over a minute and 3 minutes faster than last year :-)

The weather today was awful, the temperature was fine once you got going but the wind was a nightmare, especially on the exposed parts of the course.

Wasn't feeling the love for this this morning and it was mad crazy with so many runners, so collecting your number and leaving your bag was chaotic. The loo queues were huge and it was freezing standing outside in the queue. Thought I was going to get hyperthermia before I even started!

Found this race hard to pace due to the undulations and the wind so just ran how I felt and didn't look at my watch too much. I like hills so that didn't worry me and I made the most of the downhill sections. Felt quite relaxed apart from the wind, some head wind parts just took your breath away.

Really enjoyed the last 3 miles, especially the last mile and the long downhill part, was so pleased when I finished.

Now its time to rest and enjoy some Sunday club runs :-)
