At first I wasn't sure if this was going to be a PB attempt or not because I only got 5 and 6 weeks of good training (interrupted by a nasty 2-week cold in the middle) and not even half the mileage for Chester last year. Nonetheless, I managed to get a very consistent performance with 1.46.46 and 1.46.14 for both halfs, so slightly negative splits. Near perfect running conditions, made the most of a crappy preparation period. Yeehaa!
