Midland 6 stage road relay championships in Sutton Park. I was put into the B team but we didn't have a full team (only 3 in the end) but I ran in leg 3 and ran my best anyway. I was feeling a little tired from the increased training I have been doing and legs were still a little heavy and sore from the week (mainly Tuesday). We did a very long warm up and I started quite far back so I ended up basically catching people through the entire run. No one passed me, I stuck with one guy for a little while but then lost him and ended up passing about 20 guys (even more if you count the ladies) so that helped me push on. I was feeling it on the return of the out and back section but managed to keep it together and finish strong up the hill. My time was recorded as 15 seconds faster than last year, but it took nearly 10 seconds before the lady let me go (very busy switch over area) so I reckon I ran more like 21.30.
