Royal Berkshire 10k.
Haven't run a step since the Reading Half back in March, and only really decided to go for this on Friday. It was nice to have so little pressure as I had decided to run half and stumble the rest, however ended up being able to run the vast majority. I started off just behind the 75 minute pacer, and wanted to let her go, but kept finding myself there or thereabouts, and we had a chat at 8k where I told her I was planning on 1hr 30! Met some really nice people on route, really enjoyed this run and proper chuffed with the time. Not a PB but that wasn't what this run was about, it was about trying to remember what an enjoyable run felt like, and I have been grinning from ear to ear ever since!
Incidentally, my brother finished in 49 minutes - wooo!
