Cat the Dog Lover Who knows how long this will take? Depends on whether we get lost (I'm hoping for a team effort cos only one person thought to pay the pound for the map)

Clearly a misjudged time prediction there. My slowest ever half marathon. but it was off road, hilly, muddy, and we did stop for a chat to scoff the biccies at the water station, and we did it for the view really, and the mud glorious mud. Fan bloody tastic. Jayne and I both jumped in every muddy puddle and boggy bit we could find and I reckon we were only marginally muckier than Judith. We also fell over. Class! FRU (KeepTheFaith) Oh Please let it be 2:45! Oh dear - well at least the fordy - fordy five prediction was sort of right! Tragic effort - just about managed to keep it going helped by NSC and the 8 mile biscuit (plus iron will never to pull out of a race!) Goyt Valley Striders 3:20:33 3:47:00 2:45:00 3:47:00 35.27

SimonF Had a brilliant day - really enjoyed everything from the long climbs in the first half to struggling through the mud on the tops to careering down through the fields towards Oxenhope with no-one else in sight in front or behind wondering if I might have taken a wrong turn somewhere. The cobbled hill 800m from home was my low point, but the friendly atmosphere at the finish soon made up for it. Hi to PJL - spoke to you somewhere in the bog at around 6 miles I think - hope the stiTch cleared up quickly. Cumberland Fell Runners, Horsforth Fellandale Club 2:15:44 2:15:44 1:59:59 2:15:44 53.52

swittle Anywhere near 2 hours would be very encouraging. Looking forward ;) to the undulating start.

15.9.08 Ha! Well, that was an outrageously optimistic prediction. Unofficially, my watch reads 2:49:10. Heaven and horrendous in equal measure but I'm glad I made one in. Red Herring Road Runners 2:33:57 2:49:21 2:15:00 2:49:21 47.55
