Gaubfar not done a 7 miler before so who knows UPDATE: decided not to race it as too many races recently and feeling tired, so used the 7 miles as a training run, and helped brother get under 1 hour, loved the course and will def do it again next year Yaxley Runners and Joggers 59:07 59:07 52:00 59:07 50.90
Girlie This race goes past my front door , so I *have* to do it! Slightly amended prediction, I don't feel able to risk my injury and do sub 70 mins, so will probably run at around MP which will give me a slightly slower time. A lot depends on the weather
***UPDATE**** did the race, this time is Garmin time, so still waiting for official one(1:14:07). Unfortunately got beat by WW, but the upside is I averaged at my MP and set a PB! Also managed to set a new Max HR at the end! Hard , undulating course round the village, but excellent support from friends and neighbours.

Official time 1:14:05 and pos 174/186. Lonely Goat RC 1:14:05 1:14:05 1:10:00 1:14:05 47.34

Ted This is the next nearest race to my home race (Abbey 10) which i can't do this year. And a strange distance to run.

*** Post race ***
Well, that was a cool race. I didn't get into it until the second lap and made the mistake of trying to drink at mile 4. I just chucked water at an open mouth. Very pleased with the time given the hills at either end of the village. I had a good strong finish so I must have given the hills too much respect on the way round.

Huge thanks to Val and the organisation team. They made for a cracking event. 58m24s is a prov time Ramsey Cycling Club 58:23 58:23 58:00 58:23 53.03

Woad Wunner Yaxley 7 - A well organised, marshalled event and pleasantly shocked myself with time. Even more pleased that with based on the distance recorded by Garmin I'd broken 10mins/mile :) Bushfield Joggers 1:11:03 1:11:03 1:15:00 1:11:03 43.88
