Gobi Well, I did the first one to loosen up so must be a chance of a PB, will have a better idea after LFOTM as I hope to lower my 5km PB. If this is sucessful I can adjust my 10km pace slightly.

WHOOPS I FORGOT ABOUT MY ULTRA TRAINING**************************************************

Oh dear, toast at 3km CNBA by 4 caught by Ed at 5 helped him to around 7.5 and ran in with a poor poor time
10.51 at 3km
18.05 at 5km should have been sub 17.40 here
29.11 at 8km a whole minute behind last month and really needed 28 mins
TBH this was expected as my mileage has been high and this is not my focus.
Also, this is faster than last years best 10km time. Cannock & Stafford AC 33:14 34:47 35:00 36:32 73.22
SteveT 21-6-7 Currently struggling with a slight hamstring injury, so another PB might not be on, will update closer to race.
****UPDATE****, hamstring is 100% again, not done as much speed work in the last 4 weeks as planned, but I still hope to manage a small PB, but a bet will be a bit of a gamble, though I have PB'd every race so far this year!
***2-7-7 UPDATE***Had a great training run today and maybe sub 37 min is on again, fingers crossed.
***Race update***
Apologies to anyone who bet on me including myself, afraid the wind got to me in the second half, but I wasn't alone, even though I was slower than last month I was 10 places higher (30th/40th overall - 8th/13th in MV40). Looking at other people in the top 40 90 % of them ran slower times (on average 30 seconds slower), so I don't feel so bad at being 6 seconds slower. Splits 18:26/19:01 as apposed to 18:15/19:06 last time, so quicker in the second half despite the headwind.

Splits (By KM markers/By my Polar SDM) 0-2K - 7:18/7.29, 3K 3.55/3.44, 4K 3.18/3.33, 3.52/3.40, 6K 3.35/3.41, 7K 3.42/3.49, 8K 4.08/3.50, 9K 3.55/3.50, 10K 3.46/3.52.
4K marker seems to be about 15 seconds early, 6 and 7 K markers seem to be early which makes the 9th Km seem long. Hart Road Runners 36:30 37:15 36:55 37:27 74.31
Rach E Hope to better on performance from previous Yateley. ***RACE DAY UPDATE*** I am not feeling too well but I will give it my best shot. ***POST RACE UPDATE*** I gave it my all and am very pleased with how it went. Not a PB (sorry those who bet) BUT I ran a very comfortable race (my best since Woodley) and felt good throughout. 21 seconds quicker than last month and I felt 100 times better (even though others around me ran slower than they did last month in the conditions). On a less windy day and on a flat course I know tonight I would have PB'd and next month I will definitely be gunning for a PB come hell or high water. This race taught me a few things about nutrition and pacing. 2nd senior lady tonight so more Sweatshop vouchers for the collection! Splits: 3:46 (slower than normal first k as held up at the start and muddy field to begin with); 3:45 (nice and on target); 3:57 (uphill); 3:20 (downhill); 4:00 (was this long? Or I lost pace. Not sure - 18:49 first 5k anyway); 3:35 (used a nice tall man as a windshield); 3:49 (overtook Lesley Whiley); 4:11 (this kilometre is long!); 3:57 (uphill and water station); 3:45 (nice pace pickup to finish). eMpTy Running with eMpTy 2 again, push him a bit harder this time.
Update : Urm this pacing is getting too hard, eMpTy 2 is almost at my PB pace already. Had to put pressure on in last 2k to draw out his finish, worked this time as he finsihed in 43.09 but it was only in last 1k he faded. Denmead Striders 42:06 42:34 46:00 42:41 69.60
podgella Unaffiliated 39:16 44:25 46:44 56.51
Konaboy Felt strong up to 6K then faded a little until 8K where I recovered for fairly strong finish. Boggy start & finish area & gusty wind on the long straight meant no chance of PBing. Next month I'm going for it - will aim to PB (depending on heat!!!) Reading Roadrunners 44:28 44:47 44:53 61.52

Um Bongo No plans for a PB at this one. Race went well, treated as training run with slow start and then pushed on at end a bit. Felt I had plenty in the tank. PB attempt at the next Yateley on track Sandhurst Joggers, Windle Valley Runners 43:30 46:11 47:11 60.91

GAZGIB After a couple of 50+ 10ks since the last yateley was happy to get back to 47:26. Bracknell Forest Runners 42:54 47:26 47:26 56.40

topcorner Windy, muddy start and finish, felt awful most of the way round but a new PB!!! Only by a few seconds again but it's coming down...I'll actually do some training for next time. Sandhurst Joggers 50:50 52:35 52:35 50.21
RuthB2 What a great race! well organised, perfect conditions (if a bit windy). My 2nd fastest time on 10k, so very pleased. Looking forward to race 3. Unaffiliated 44:57 53:31 54:20 54.74
