Crash Hamster Watch time for me, too...did a bit of pacing for Stump, then got to run over the line with Squish, so had a nice day :o) Pirate Ship Of Fools 1:34:11 1:50:33 2:09:00 46.35
Windsurfin' Susie 7th woman, and 3rd F40, but a bit disappointed as it doesn't predict a 3:15 marathon. I was tired, having only a 2 or 3 day taper, it was warm - full sunshine, windy, and the course is deceptively hilly. I was warned the last half was slow and that seems about right, as I was on course for a good time till half way then it all fell apart. Could only knock 19minutes off my PB ;-) Weird overtaking cyclists who started 15 minutes ahead - what is wrong with the nations health? Victory AC 1:34:47 1:34:47 1:34:47 72.34
Flying Ant My watch time as it took ages to cross line and warm again this year. 7:29 better than last year - not bad with no real training but could have been better as I got cramp at 12.5miles so couldn't sprint the last bit. Black Pear Joggers 1:39:30 1:47:20 1:47:20 54.17
Lills Helped a friend train for this race, but ended up running it too! Very hilly (and not very scenic) route on quite a warm day. Bit slower than I wanted but OK for first half-marathon race. Felt very stiff and wobbly at the end. Stowmarket Striders RC, Run For Your Life (RFYL) 1:52:19 2:11:50 2:10:00 2:11:50 48.92

expatria This is technically a training run, but if I can get it below 2:10, I sure as heck will. Race day update--coming off a cold, so I didn't expect much, but having not trained all week I sort of crammed my tempo, sprint, and long run into one race. First 2 miles way too fast, next 7 slightly fast but steady, and then at about 11.5 things just went splat, and I walked a lot. Got angry with 800 yards to go; sprinted it in. Wolverhampton: not picturesque, winding course, generally flat, a few long gradual hills. Sunny and warm but not oppressive. Terrible headwinds after halfway. Lovely locals made DIY misting stations with their hoses. Oh, and some fellow saw me in my fetch vest and shouted happy things at me: was it you? Unaffiliated 2:05:30 2:11:40 2:10:00 2:11:40 48.97
Iron Squishy Watch time! Quite please with time considering I hadn't trained for this one. Foot was absolutely fine, which was very odd. Not even a twinge. Wolverhampton isn't the most scenic of courses, not sure I'll do this one again now, done it twice! Pirate Ship Of Fools 2:07:00 2:09:00 2:09:00 51.34
biggest nose found this tough, energy levels good and hips not too bad but there were some faffy hills just couldn't get into rhythm on and some blustery corners, my no blister socks rubbed my feet to hell too! Great weather though and lovely support for almost the whole route - thanks hosepipe lady and oranges lady! Wrekin Road Runners 2:12:00 2:32:00 2:32:00 43.57
