Bodge I wouldn't put your shirt on me. This is the course I set my PB on but haven't really done the speed work been running long and sloNo speed in the old legs went through the first mile in 7mins dead but just couldn't keep it going came home third in my group. miff Hot!!! Wanted to beat my 5 mile PB (which was done on hills) on this lovely flat course but missed it by about a minute. I think it was down to a combination of heat, tiredness from too many hilly runs last week and a bit of a dicky tummy beforehand. Never mind - it was a fun race and the Stone MMs seemed like a nice bunch. BIG THANK YOU to the lady at around half way who was hosing the runners down as we passed - what a lovely surprise it was to be cool for a moment... hope she didn't get in trouble for using her hose pipe!! Siggers Hoping to average 8 minute miles for this one. Nearly made it, I think I went off too quick and it was too hot to recover from splits were 7:15 8:10 8:14 11:41 and 4:59 the last two were the consequence of a misplaced 4 mile marker me thinks, still great race and relatively flat, only a couple of small hills definite PB potential.
