LorraineS had hoped to use this more of a long run, but it was a bit hilly and rocky for me and was disappointed that I had to walk so much because getting clear footing was difficult. Garmin said 13K. Unaffiliated 2:11:13 2:11:13 2:11:13 30.41

Fro sore legs after helvellyn the day before (and a lack of sleep due to baltic temperatures in caravan). Event was incredible, views stopped me in my tracks a couple of times. Absolutely awesome Unaffiliated 1:46:42 1:46:42 1:46:42 30.12

thesteadygroove 21st position......absolutely gobsmacked, I knew I was passing a lot of people but I never expected to be so high up the field, I'm in danger of suffering from vertigo. The ankle breaking ground kinda suited me and that was where I did all my passing, when we hit the flat road at the end my legs died give me rocks and roots anyday. Amazing race, great views, great organisation 10/10. Northbrook AC, Fell Runners Association 53:13 1:08:30 1:08:30 47.18
Sproggy Great race once again. Even better than the day before Bournville Harriers 1:19:59 1:19:59 1:19:59 40.97
C-Cat OK 2nd trail run - in 2 days *boing* :) would the shagged ankles hold up? what the heck would me legs make of 2 days back2back running???

...started with a surprising amount of spring in the step... then got a touch carried away.... ooopppps slip... trip.... crack of shin on rock *ouch* (might have uttered something a bit stronger!) hopped a bit... hobbled a little... gritted teeth and carried on!!! Had to be done :) (same as standing in Ullswater up to me knees at the end to dull the pain hehehe) oh and did i mention the views... toffee Really enjoyed this run until I had a major wibble with about 2 miles to go. Not sure how I got back and felt very cold and shaky at the end. Brilliant weekend all told, not bad this trail running lark. Unaffiliated 1:20:09 1:20:09 1:20:09 40.89
DJ Bangey Couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Hard work, but well worth it! Kendal AC 1:09:40 1:09:40 1:09:40 46.39
IanS Great race, beautiful scenery, lovely weather and some Fetchies for company - who could ask for more? :-) Harmeny AC 1:07:28 1:07:28 1:24:56 41.03
Lisrun This was a much rougher course than I remembered and because of my ankle I took it very gently. Still managed to twist both ankles slightly, but I don't think there was any lasting damage 100 Marathon Club, North East Marathon Club 1:08:00 1:36:30 1:36:30 39.70

Stepford Wife Legs not impressed with this trying to run two days in a row lark. Struggled to find a rhythm for ages. Chatted to a lovely lass about running and our running dreams and finally got going a bit after Silver Howe (a bit not much). What a lovely day though, Lakeland scenery at its absolute autumnal best. Warm too, surprisingly so really. And for the first (and probably only)time ever we led a race! Ok, Hammy had sent the field the wrong way so when everyone turned round we only had the walkers to overtake. And then we won a spot prize - three years and we get some sweat bands! Persistence really does pay off. Fell Runners Association 1:50:06 2:08:29 2:08:29 28.50
Running Beard I thought that it could not get better than the Helvellyn Trail yesterday but this was even better - just fabulous Elvet Striders 1:23:35 1:25:36 1:25:36 40.71
Boingy Really struggled on this one. Legs still battered from yesterday. Went over on right ankle again after 2 miles, very sore, so throttled back. Found it really tough having people pouring past me, and didn't really enjoy it to be honest. Beautiful course though. :-) Leamington C & AC 49:43 52:03 1:22:30 39.50
