nochickenstrip Supposed to be a really fast downhill start and pretty smooth race, being conservative with my prediction as doing my club handicap the night before. Well there it is, 5:13 1st mile, pretty nice run all the way, ran out of steam at 4Miles but hey not a bad time! Crook & District AC, Durham Triathlon Club 34:37 36:59 38:00 38:21 69.75
RununMan Nice race, and a good atmoshere at the start, seemed pretty busy. A very fast downhill start but managed to even pace most of the race and finished strong again. Pleased with time but room for a little improvement with some quality training. Birtley AC 35:26 36:16 38:00 37:26 74.35
bigal love this race really good course and friendly atmosphere.not pb but best for couple of years.happy. seems to be getting more popular each year which is good. Good idea putting entry forms in with blaydon race numbers lets more people know about run. Blackhill Bounders 42:35 43:20 46:00 45:06 59.31

Lisrun Been meaning to do this race for several years, but never managed it. Won't be pb. *After* Bit disapppointed with the time, but lovely course and it didn't rain ! One or two short sharp climbs, but mainly flat after a downhill start that I could not really take advantage of because I started too far back. Pie and peas afterwards. 100 Marathon Club, North East Marathon Club 45:35 46:37 48:00 49:22 63.39

Screeners don't bet on me - as at today's date (15 June) I am injured and not running so not sure I will even be doing this. **UPDATE AFTER RACE** - considering I haven't trained for this at all, haven't run this distance for about five weeks and am just getting over a calf injury, I think I did okay. Ran steady the whole way, felt fairly strong and most importantly, finished feeling relatively happy and not feeling like I could chuck my guts up as I have with the last few races I've ran. And although it is not a PB which I wasn't expecting anyway, it is nowhere near a PW. Elswick Harriers 56:42 58:19 1:00:50 49.75
