phal was never going to be a PB course! sorry to whoever had a flutter on me... did enjoy it though, took a bit for the legs to get going... great company for the day, and most of the run, and good conditions... I actually enjoyed it this year :o) The Green Runners 40:16 41:28 42:57 69.19

Boingy Not really sure how I'll do in this one. In theory I should easily PB, as best time was last year after not much running. Plenty speed work under the belt since then. However, race is hilly, and I have had a couple of weeks off with a foot infection. But hey, a little bet would'nt hurt to help spur me on now, would it ? ----- Well blimey, knocked over 3 mins off my PB, well chuffed with that !! :-) Start was congested, loads of people starting near the front that shouldn't have been despite big boards giving starting position vs expected time, grrrr why do they do that ???. Once the melee had subsided in the first km, calmed down to a steady pace and worked my way through the field. Quite a challenging course, felt v rough after the hill at 7km-ish, but held on to put a good last 2km in to duck under 45mins. Clock was busted at the end, be interesting to see the official times. KM SPLITS - 4.39, 4.29, 4.19, 4.33, 4.40, 4.17, 4.42, 4.21, 4.19, 4.20. Leamington C & AC 37:01 44:50 46:00 44:50 59.43
Alopex My running anniversary race. Should knock a mile a minute off last year but not really a PB course.

A minute outside my PB on a challenging course. I'll settle for that. Too many slower runners near the front at the start which doesn't help with congestion. Even so it's great to get 2500 runners in this event. UKnetrunner 42:48 42:48 47:30 45:30 59.07

chunky This is always going to be slow.. too many hills, too hot, too many people... not very hot this time so a bit faster than I thought..... Cyclists Touring Club 48:23 49:35 54:00 52:50 56.23
Jason1969 Bet on me! If I don't PB then I'll be mighty disappointed. It's not that I'm fitter or stronger, but I know better what I'm capable of. Basically, it's that in the past, I haven't run as hard as I could. And I'm doing 8 minute miles in training. Come on legs!

Post race: 6 minute PB. Nuff said! Unaffiliated 48:48 48:48 50:00 48:48 55.08

Raisty Raist gonna still do this one despite bad leg. Absolutley no chance of a pb but should get round ok

Not sure of actual time because there was no clock but asked someone else who finished at the same time. Bit slow but the bad leg stopped any heroics Unaffiliated 42:15 49:00 47:00 49:00 53.88

DaveH Fancy dress for this one - not sure hockey goal-keeping kit in June is overly sensible, but in for a penny, in for a pound. Plus technically that'll be a PB.
UPDATE - Official time is 56:24. Lined up dead last. Felt fine up until the Leek Wooton hill which was a killer and which saw me attempt to throw my guts when I hit the top. Walked through the water stations, but apart from that and the top of the hill ran the whole way. Got lots of cheers, especially at the end... Unaffiliated 39:09 53:25 1:00:00 53:25 49.42
Seagrave Since Dave was doing it in keeper keep decided to stick with him all the way round for support, didn't stop me nipping over the line before him though :-P. First run since the injury but came through with just a little bit of soreness. Birmingham Running, Athletics, & Triathlon Club (BRAT) 39:41 53:25 55:00 53:25 49.42

Dowse First ever run, very enjoyable. Kept pace with hockey boys until about 3km then found own pace for the rest of the race. Not chip timed, actual time was faster than this, but not by much.
