Gokeith decent run-felt sick before race ,nearly spewed at finish line,so reasonably happy with time, got into a group of 7 runners at 3k managed to hang on thro sticky spell then kicked at 8k to pull away from all but 1 runner finished strong last Km-still think i'm in sub 34 shape, just need to prove it! hannkies Yaba-Daba-Doo !! 1st sub 35 min 10k, felt good throughout and finished 21st out of just under 1000 so chuffed. Also it seems a couple of clubmates had a wee punt on me in the Fetch bookies to pb, all the better. Kilmarnock Harriers & AC, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 34:21 34:50 35:30 34:57 76.91

JulesR Fast course, great weather, super event. Went off stupidly fast (3:25 1st km) but survived to post a sub-40 time for the first time in many years. Great long run-in on the front.
There can't be many flatter, faster 10k's around. Stirling Triathlon Club 37:21 37:21 39:17 72.57

shannon hmmm, still not sure how i feel. worked really hard most of the way round and 2nd fastest time at 10k. still expected quicker though and there was no gas left for the last 1k, probably need a wee rest. once again a great race and one of the racing highlights of the year. EyeSpy21 YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! Loved this. First sub-50 and pb by nearly 3 mins. Great wee course. Felt good all the way apart from threat of a stitch at 3K. My favourite race! Unaffiliated 48:55 48:55 50:50 48:55 61.87
libby Really enjoyed that, to the extent that I went rather faster than planned (was just going to use it as a training race and excuse to see friends who live there, but got a bit carried away), and ended up with a PB, if only by a few seconds. Obviously not up to the awesome efforts of the others (well done guys, seriously impressed!), but a great evening all round! Unaffiliated 49:58 49:58 55:00 53:44 55.41
ilonabean my PB. Unaffiliated 54:37 54:37 54:37 54.42
@smiffy_73 Only my 2nd 10K and PB by nearly 3 minutes but I am slightly dissapointed with myself as I wanted to break 55 minutes. Oh well no rest as I am determined to do better at the Rouken Glen 10k next month which will be much harder than Troon. Enjoyed the race though as it was well organised and marshalled. Only minor gripe was the water station was at 6k and not earlier or maybe thats just sour grapes because I was struggling just before that. Unaffiliated 56:33 56:33 55:00 56:33 46.84
Big C First proper 10km after the (short) Run the Road event last year. Managed to get all the way round without walking, despite being out of training for 6 weeks with a fractured rib. Inspirational! Unaffiliated 1:00:52 1:06:55 1:09:45 39.00
