dd PB in extreme weather conditions. Had vaguely hoped for nearer the hour but got caught in the bottleneck at about 1k and lost 30 secs and never really made it back. You can never really predict weather at a seaside race but for the last few years its been a lovely sunny night. Tonight there were severe weather warnings in place! Torrential rain at about 5k and then the knock you over wind from 8k lost me time as well. Still a PB is a PB! Unaffiliated 1:01:42 1:01:42 1:01:42 49.50

keef missed the start,by the time i arrived got changed and chip, the race was already 5minutes started, did not see anyone until nearly 2km mark then i seemd to pass everyone, the weather was fantastic ,the time not my best, but the performance and effort considering the late start i enjoyed this run Hamilton Harriers 49:47 54:04 52:30 54:04 50.31

Sunbed Athlete Horrendous conditions for the race tonight.
Credit to the organisers/marshalls/helpers who had to stand out in those conditions whilst collecting race chips or handing out t-shirts.
Took 5th place after a last 2k battle with young Eriterian laddie.Great course & always well supported.4 years ive ran this race now & have taken 11th,9th,7th & 5th places respectively. Will it be 3rd then 1st lol. Cambuslang Harriers, Scottish Veteran Harriers Club 31:29 32:05 33:15 81.29

Yano I need to get 40.45 for a course PB which is unlikely. I may not have the speed just now but I'll give it a go! Post race: jings that was wild, wet and windy! First 10k of the year so reasonably happy with the time. Couldn't have gone much faster on the night. Unaffiliated 39:32 43:29 41:30 43:29 61.52
