Smile2 perfect weather - great course - the road with the rubble had me thrown and slowed me down else a cracking race. Over the moon to finally get a sub 50 10k. Ricardo Well bugger me. The sun was shining, my hip was feeling ok, and so basically I went for it. Bit annoyed at my Garmin not getting satellite in time, so didn't know what time I was doing. Drell Aiming for a steady 9:30ish pace. I will have failed if I do any of the first 5 miles at faster than 9:15 :-) Pacing was beautifully even, although a bit faster than planned - 1st 6 miles all between 9:11 and 9:19. Squeezed a pb by 4 secs on the official time, which was 20 secs slower than Garmin. Result! Unaffiliated 54:16 55:27 59:00 57:55 56.90

Girlie I've offered to encourage/abuse/pace a mate round her first 10k, so we will be mostly having a laugh and mincing around at the back if anyone else cares to join us:-) **UPDATE*** Excellent race, SusieQ came in just under the hr, I was just over it. Faded away at 8-9km, but enjoyed the company and race. Will definitely be aiming to pb here in the future.
