Lisrun This race is part of Bishop Wilton Show. Cloudy (which is unusal in the current heat wave) and very humid. Some runners got caught in a very local heavy downpour. The first three miles which follow parts of the Snake Lane course are deceptive because they are mainly flat. There are three tough hills in this race but at least you could run up them (unlike Killhope). Lovely downhill descent offroad through woods after first climb (which starts at 3m and ends at 6.5m). Pleased to get under 2hrs and to feel fully recovered from my injury. Well organised with plenty of drinks and sponge stations. A fellow runner said this race was addictive and I would forget the hills over the next year. I wonder. 100 Marathon Club, North East Marathon Club 1:42:36 1:42:36 1:56:58 58.09
