![Finish Position: 173 Finished a little dissapointed not to be under 25 Min's.
Ok off at start, 400m Lap started 1:50, then settled into a steady pace which seemed ok.
After about 1.5km hit the Church Road Hill, which then hit me (Having my foot injury and not doing much hill work, really missing the benefits of hill training & really suffered here, dropped pace, at one point took a 30 sec break near top to recover!) After hill could not get back to speed i was at before the hill and legs and breathing was laboured and just hanging on.
Finished on track with a push the last 60m but no one to push me into a sprint for the line.
I worked hard (Although I feel I should of given that little more [110% as opposed to 95%] )
Left leg a little shin splints after running downhill, right foot plantar fascitis surprisingly not too bad as yesterday felt awful???
1st time at this race and would love to do again next year and know know what to expect. Love the start and finish on track.
