Dochart Popular and very scenic off road race set in the Isle of Purbeck. Race HQ at the village of Corfe, underneath the ruins of Corfe Castle. Free parking but no showers. The route is mainly on tracks, paths and field margins and undulates south, along the coast and back and is very well marked and marshalled and with 3 or 4 water stations. The scenery, especially the coast section, and the two flights of killer steps along the cliffs are the main attractions. Parts of the route are narrow with limited opportunity for overtaking and there are a number of style crossings etc. Today the castle had the builders in and the remains were partly obscured by scaffolding but the views from the cliffs were outstanding. 158/480 Stragglers 1:55:48 1:55:48 1:55:48 57.72
