Inertia Every time I've done a 10 M the rain has poured down and Thanet didn't disappoint. Despite the wind and rain had a good run and managed a PB. Just need a dry course to go even quicker. Unaffiliated 1:21:12 1:21:46 1:17:00 1:21:46 54.92
Laura27 Mad wet and windy adventure!!! Unaffiliated 1:40:30 1:40:30 1:45:00 1:40:30 48.76
Mandymoo Worst run of my life. Had knee problems from 6.5 miles onwards and really struggled from 7.5 miles, having to walk most of the rest of the race.

Really disapointed - had looked forward to racefor a long time and injury came from no where. Gutted.

Good organisation and would do race again. Whitecliffs Athletics and Running Club 1:37:02 1:49:00 1:40:00 1:52:30 45.10

PSC What didn't the weather throw at us - approached the start in heavy rain and fierce winds noting that the field was much smaller than predicted...

A quick high to Tracey G at the start and then noted that Bo-bo had pushed on fairly quickly so moved through the back of the pack at 8:04 pace to catch her for a chat. Stayed together for a on and off for the next 6 miles. First 4 miles had the winds behind us so didn't feel that windy.... as we approached the turn around point (thanks Corridore for the jelly Babies) it was usddenly clear what a sod the wind would be all the way back in our faces. The ground was very wet, with large puddles and by this stage both feet were blistering up badly in the arches (newish shoes done up too tight I think).... at about 6 miles started to inject more pace, head down into the wind, by 8 miles I really had the bit between my teeth although I was cramping up between my shoulder blades. So with arms waving in the air and a tight right quad homed in on some dayglo socks ahead of me... Charlie from TRAC and I then chatted for a mile or so, then pushed the pace again for the last mile and a half home... God was I glad to see the end - the 5 miles into the wind was a sod. Not something I've had to endure before - good lesson tho! Feet shredded by the end, but really enjoyed it.

As ever Thanet Road Runners put on a terrific show, marshalls everywhere - all smiling and shouting encouragement. Excelent organisation at the start finish point and in the clubhouse. Well done and a huge thank you to Mark/Dave/all the other TRAC helpers.

Great to meet Micksta/Heres Jonny/Red or Dead and others..... Last of the year done then - sore feet, sore nips, and a PB!! Chuffed.

Managed to fit in my bacon sarnie with the family and Chesterfield Bill. Pirate Ship Of Fools 1:11:32 1:24:39 1:24:39 54.71

SK aka Clive Was hoping for a pb today, given that the course would be flat, however, didn't bank on it blowing a hooley. Not too bad on way out but as soon as we turned around I realised that the wind was still blowing that hard! Last mile seemed to last forever but so pleased to have done this one, many who'd entered hadn't even bothered to get out of bed on such a lousy day! Treacle Oof - what a headwind for those last 5 miles. Good job we'd had those jelly babies from Corridore (thanks!)
Ran with Laura26 from RW - and think we pushed each other to a good time for us. Steadily picking people off as we ran from the back of the pack, and although the last couple of miles were run with gritted teeth and heads down against the wind, v chuffed with the result.
Very well organised and lovely friendly marshalls:-) Unaffiliated 1:29:15 1:40:35 1:45:00 1:40:35 49.45
