baggieboy Taunton Half Marathon: Unofficial time waiting for chip timing. Good run plenty left in the legs should had increase my pace by 5 second a mile. Overall please with the time after having a nightmare last year with injuries. Taunton has change the route this year and the last couple of miles is much bettter than running on the main road, very good improvement. Well done. buttercups1971 waiting for official chip time as forgot to stop my watch,, in the excitement Tryied to pace my first 3miles but it was so easy to get carried along. Trusty garmin was to hand so just kept my patience. I got to 4miles and was thinking it was going to be a good race. Legs felt good and the race was on!! got to 6 miles and remembered that my last half marathon i left it too late to take a gell,,so i took it,,, whooooooooooooosh,, legs were on top form. Breathing was spot on. I had to pinch myself that it was realy me!!! met a lady on the way round and i got talking 8mile mark is always hard for me... legs started to scream,, took another get and whooooooosh the lady and me pushed and pulled each other to get to the 10mile mark. Got to the hill and legs were still attached so up i went no problems. I was chuffed to say the least. Got to the top of hill at 11miles and realised i need to push hard.. checked the legs... still attached!! whey hey,, so i pushed agagin.. though sod it have another gell and this was my 3RD!!! but i so needed it,,, pushed the final 3 miles.. grutting but pushing my body to my limits. I crossed the line in 2hrs 8mins (according to the clock) This is a massive PB for me, Last half marathon was 2 hrs 28mins! Did i punch the air with delight?? oh yes I did! i could not contain my excitement and pure joy at my time. I think people at the finish must ahve though i was nuts :) no not nuts just reaching a goal is sooooooooooooooo rewarding I am chuffed to bits,, had terrible cramp in the sports hall.. i will be back Just Jog Bideford 2:07:46 2:09:51 2:25:00 2:09:51 50.31

Wirzel First half since october(Burnham), struggled in that one, but got a few more miles under my belt since then, with, by the time this comes around, a few long runs further than half marathon distance. Really pleased with my time, not only did I beat my predicted time but I also beat my previous best for this run by over 2 mins. Unaffiliated 1:34:30 1:34:52 1:43:00 1:41:06 59.59
