Boycie Great race - paced it very well, first mile in 6.28 and kept the same kind of pace going - in fact my overall race pace was 6.25, so very pleased - big PB by over 2 and a half minutes and finally I have a half time that is more in keeping with some of my shorter distances. Think the extra mileage I have been putting in, in terms of runs of more than an hour duration are paying off! Strong field - as my time only managed 87th overall! Impossible is Nothing Good conditions for the race - but it's not as flat as they claim! Second half was quite hard work with a few long hauls up. Overall got to be pleased with new PB (could go faster on a flatter course), strength and taking a few scalps (including Boycie!). £rd mile marker was in the wrong place but apart from that a very well organised race with lots of marshalls and police. o legs cold morning in stroud with bright sunshine. legs felt very stiff before start, however, had a leg massage and that seem to have helped. eased into the zone gradually and at three miles felt very relaxed. at half way everything felt good my legs were strong and my mind clear. last two inclines before finish were tough but i had a little left for the finish. i feel i can do better times with good guidance.
