Jimbo Before this race I was informed by Bananaman that this race was quite flat. Well, after taking part in the event yesterday I can't actually remember a flat bit. It seemed like hill, after hill, after hill.

Something must have gone right on the day though because I took 3 minutes of my PB. I put it down to the perfect weather, and the fact I really went for it from the gun. My first 5 miles were all sub 7 minutes, but at 8 miles the fast start started to take its toll. What made it harder was the many short sharp hills through the housing estate in the last quarter of the race.

I am over the moon that I got a PB especially when I have not done any speed work recently. The fact that I got such a great time on a very tough course made it extra special.

I must not forget to thank BSRC for the excellent organisation, and all the marshalls were first class.

A thoroughly enjoyable event, despite the pain.

Vindicator PROVISIONAL TIME I did much better than I thought with a PB by 6 mins. I am feeling a bit guilty to Fetch Betters who missed getting a shed load of credits as my pre-race report may have given the impression that I may not be at 100%. The race went well, but I found the start a little congested. I found the mid race quite hard work, but resettled for a good finish. Well organised as always, but some of the route changes may not have been for the best. Harlow RC 1:09:26 1:15:43 1:20:00 1:15:43 57.89
