AJPAR Felt good and enjoyed race apart from the 1st km, but I think the course is long (I have mapped it on mapping software and this also confirms this) Still a pb and under 18 minutes for the first time. Team came 8th overall and 1st in our sector :-) Unaffiliated 17:36 17:45 17:56 74.91

Dubois Better than last year, although I made sure I was nearer the front of the correct funnel than at the back, and just pottered round for the spectacle rather than try to do a time. The race is so busy and the course twists a lot, so I am always amazed more people don't go flying in the crazy first couple of kilometres - especially as the inevitable City testosterone takes over. Garfield I'm hoping for sub-30 though don't know how quickly I'll be able to get back up to speed after nearly two months off with knee injury. I hope to beat last year's time. FERC 28:36 30:53 30:00 30:53 50.34

Psimon Pretty crowded race, reports from the back that it was very slow to start off.
Not overly pleased with the time, but little surprise as training a little under par and I was suffering from a hangover from previous nights over indulgence.

Rach E 2nd place to Emily Adams. Very pleased as legs still tired from a week of cycling in the Pyrenees (came back last night). Wrecked myself in the last bit and held off three girls in the last 400m. Feels good to have a bit of speed in my legs :¬) This race is good although the course is very twisty and was very congested for 2k. Chip timing is good but felt sorry for people still starting when I was at the switchback @ 3.5km. Aldershot, Farnham & District AC, Team Kennet, Newbury Velo 17:52 18:02 18:30 18:03 81.64
